This is what I wear everyday for my knees. Fox Raptor. I have to have the hinge for my screwed-up knee. The hinge puts no pressure on the knee-cap. The knee guards are light-weight but a little bulky. They have saved both of my knees several times now. One memorable time was when a 3" dia. limb that I didn't see in time (I was making my own trail) hit me right on the knee-cap and knocked my leg off the peg and almost crashed me. That one would have hurt bad without the guards.
