bleeding the front brake

Default bleeding the front brake

HI to all, I have just got some braided brake lines from bill blue. I got the back on and it works great but when I got the front on it all turned sour!! I can not seem to get the brake line primed and the air out.....?

has any one got any tips?

Get a hand vac harbor freight has them,I use a snap on power bleeder it takes me less time then it did for me to type this.
The harbor freight hand vac is real cheap in price also any auto motive store has hand vac that have many other uses good luck.

alright fella, I wish it was that easy!!!!! I live on a small island in Honduras and there are no automotovie store!!!!!! I will just have to get the girl friend to suck on it!

Well sounds like your out of luck, hand pump the brake while cracking the bleeder open and closed while that girl does one or the other.

I've had good luck using a syringe, pushing the fluid up from the bottom.

Now that is what I was thinking.......any how I think I will go and try both ends.

I will let you nkow how I got on in a few mintues

Speed bleeders help. Not sure if you'll get them in Honduras.

I hated bleeding that puppy.

Do your normal bleed procedure to get the air out of the caliper. Now strap the brake lever in a half brake position(be sure the reservoir is full), and the lean/lay the bike on the left side as to have the master cylinder as the highest point in the system, or take it off the bars to raise it. Wait over night and in the morning you should be able to work the lever a few times and get the air bubble to flow into the reservoir.

+1 for speed bleeders. Just got a set on my bike. Very nice indeed. Can be ordered online, even on ebay.
