Your going to love the BB351. Spend a little more money and get the TM36-68 carb. It's amazing how much more power 101cc increase with the pumper carb will yeild. You can pop the front tire up at will in first and second with just throttle input.

Lately every couple weeks ive been adding a splash of oil for some reason. The mechanic thinks it may be a valve seal or the top end getting iffy so my decision on either 351 or 331 is gonna be happening within the next month or two. Just kinda iffy on the 351 with all the cooling and oil burning issues on here lately.

Man im having a hard time finding the website and also the number the bill blue. The website doesnt work so would you have his number

i think 330ish is about right for this bike - the 351 is awesome but i would imagine the 331 would leave enough cylinder material to run a little cooler etc.

Why would having more material make it run cooler? I believe the issue really is that the liner used cuts down on the water jacket volume, but from what I've seen that is no problem. There is a rider on the ADVrider site who ran a 351 in Thailand for over 100,000 miles. If the cooling system is working well there should be no issue. One thing that could be considered to get more uniform cooling would be to add the Thermobob that allows uniform temperature even when the thermostat is closed. It has a small bypass line that allows flow from the base of the cylinder to the head - circulation of coolant that does not circulate otherwise. Keeps temperature at the base close to equal with the head, something that does not happen with the stock cylinder when the thermostat is closed. Car engines have similar set ups that allow flow within the block and heads when the thermostat is closed. The larger tubes allow coolant to freely flow when the thermostat does open up.
