This past weekend I pulled the front end off and cleaned up the head bearings, and re-greased them real good. That took care of a little bit of trouble I was having in the steering. As it came from Thailand, they were not over greased, that's for certain.
I installed my heated grips, that is a sweet deal to have a couple of differnt heat settings. I can ride in 50F weather with unlined deerskin gloves. The handguards breaking a little bit of wind plus the grips is all it needs.
Had some good luck finding a new tire that matches the Kenda 50/50 rear. I'm running the rear K270 4.60-18
It's matching Kenda 50/50 front is junk.
But this new tire is great, street or dirt.

I haven't scheduled a dyno run yet, no. I've got a lot going on just now with work and stuff.

 

What's the compression ratio on the 351?

 

The compression ratio on the 351 is 12.5:1 We are still using regular pump gas no ping or spark knock.

Two quick questions:
What counter sprocket are you using? And, what kind of gas mileage are you getting with the kit?

 

The stock 14T countershaft sprocket stock rear sprocket.
Haven't checked gas milage yet.

 

Thanks, please post it when you have a good figure. I am ready to make a purchase, but im not sure which kit would be the best for my situation. I am keen to the 350 kit, but want to make sure I wont NEED a larger tank, or to carry fuel bottles.

 

It's going to be warm in a couple of days, I'll go out and roll up some miles, and get some numbers for you on the gas mileage with stock pipe and carb.
