anyone else having their vortex insert rattle? mine rattles inside the muffler and is driving me crazy......

 

Just what I've always wanted..a rattling exhaust system.Bwahahahaha!

 

Maybe your exhaust needs to be repacked? The insert may be loose. I'm just taking a stab at this one due to never seeing one in person. The only fourstrokes I ever had were all street bikes all my dirt bikes have been2 strokes, ahhhh 2 strokes...............![sm=happy046.gif]

na its not the core... it doesnt rattle with the vortex out..... i wanna get the quiet core....

 

I was saying maybe the insert is moving around due to packing being burned. How does the insert fit into the muffler? Does it go thru the race core surrounded by packing?

 

that fits inside the race core..... packing on outside of race core....

 

When did you order your FMF system? I've ordered mine early last week and havent heard a thing back, I even emailed to see when it will be shipped. Going to call today but I have the same feeling it will be the same deal as Muzzy saying "it will be three weeks" then "it will be another three weeks".

 

The biggest hang up I have with the BG or Muzzy is they are freakin loud. Nothing like having your ears ring when you get done riding. Exceeding 80 db for extended periodsWILL cause hearing loss..........lemme see all of these aftermarket pipes are 96+ db. Even the FMF Q series is 92 give or take, but its a mellower tone, not the hollow metallic thump of the others. And just like a "real" mad rottweiler, eventually its going to get someone and have to be put down...............or in our case closure of riding areas.
