Unfortunately once you have you're jetting dialled in with this carb, you'll have to go through it again with the pumper carb.
Obviously the rebuilding well, maybe you should slap on the Mikuni and take it from there.

Its the clutch, 6th gear at 65mph a throttle craxk and the rpms skyrocket and you can feel the clutch relock into position. Is there a way to adjust the clutch? Or do i need new springs

1st verify you have cable freeplay at the lever, if none, may be why it's slipping.

2nd pull and measure your clutch springs and see if they are out of spec. If they are you might replace with new oem. IF they are in spec you might through in a set of barnett or tusk springs which are stiffer, clutch pull will be a little harder. Inspect plates and basket for notching while your in there.

can someone answer is is 351, 330 etc sleeve wet or dry?

The 351 is a wet sleeve.

Are you using synthetic oil that was NOT designed for wet clutch motorcycles? They can have additional friction fighters in their formula that hampers the gripping of the clutch plates.

No, its a new motor so I just used regular 4 stroke motorcycle oil. Valvoline I think, NOT synthetic.

I had that carb on my bike which also has a 351 kit... It should be almost spot on... Just make sure to run the air box lid without the snorkel.

I live at a different elevation than where I bought the carb from.

My two cents - I had the 351 kit since when it first came out.. I think I got kit #9..

Anyway, I went through a couple clutches before I found the sweet combo.. Just do yourself a favor and order an EBC Dirt racer clutch kit off ebay, and order the Barnett spring set.

Done.

Stock springs would eventually slip, and your stock clutch is probably on it's way to a fast death right now.

I hammered the **** out of mine and the EBC/Barnett combo held up really well.
