I've now put maybe 8 hours on the new ECU from best dual sport bikes. The fellow that has done this recommends opening up the airbox, secondary throttle plate removal and creating some slits with a saw in the factory exhaust beneath the heat shield. I have a kdx200 snorkel, removed the secondary throttle plate, and made the slits in the exhaust.
This really wakes up the bike. There is more power throughout the range for sure, and yes all I have is my butt dyno . There is way more torque at low rpms and you can put through obstacles at very slow speed without stalling and rarely need the use the clutch. There is more midrange power, and more.top end power. It feels like a tractor in the slow stuff and a street bike at higher speeds. The bike now can sit at 120km,/hr on the highway and maxes out around 130-135km/hr. The bike no longer feels like it is straining to keep speed. I am very happy so far. One thing the exhaust mod.predictably did was melt the rubber spacer for the heat shield so I'll have to figure something out for that.
All in all it feels like I have my dr350 back again which is a good thing.
I want to add also that I am at 3000 feet elevation and 87 octane seems to work fine but I'm now using 91 octane just to be safe.

So, driller212, is there another choice in the positioning of the slits so that plastics and other parts are not destroyed ?
Good question. You could possibly do it so the gasses go straight down but then you risk getting a lot of kid and crap in the pipe. I'm not sure there is a better spot.

I feel like his tune needs more work it still has some issues from what I saw.
From the person who advertises a 6hp increase when actually it is a 2.3 hp peak increase which we all can attain with a slip on and the secondary throttle plate removal.
I wonder how much timing he adds with this "flash".
David used to have a bunch of KLX300 videos on Best Dual Sports Motorcycles (youtube) where he claims to be working with Delkevic for developing an exhaust for the KLX as well as an ecu. Then he claims to sell the ecu but it only works if you remove the secondary throttle plate. Now, all of his KLX videos are gone except the one on Pinit Racing where he bad mouths how loud the Delkevic exhaust is and how the ecu he sells does not require the removal of the secondary throttle plate. The guy is sketch at best in my opinion.
