I would definatly kill it before I picked it up. Ifyou don'**** probly in gear, andits going to spin as soon as that tire touches the ground. and if the engines reved high the front tire will probly come up and then the bikes back on the ground, but this time your under it and that sucks, trust me.

Good one, hadn't heard that one before.
Actually, I just turned over 1000 miles on the KaBooM on a ride yesterday. Hasn't given me any problems yet, other than learning its quirks like that catch can. It's been 100% reliable and loads of fun. I just put on a Rekluse Z-Start Pro auto clutch last weekend and I'm still trying it out, not sure if I like it or not. On the first ride I didn't care too much for it, but now I'm starting to warm up to its virtues. I'm not completely sold on it yet, but I'm leaning toward keeping it on as opposed to going back to stock. It really is pretty cool, especially its anti-stalling properties even if you lock up the rear tire without pulling the clutch. That opens up some interesting capabilities for tight technical stuff without having to be a master at expert clutch control.

Damn what a huge response! I'm still trying to load up that video...but I'll probably have to wait till I get home. We're running a shotty satellite connection out in the field here.
Anyone have any experience with a helmet cam? I'd love to get one of them going, get some awesome shots of my brother eating dirt/shrubs...or myself from a 1st person view.
PS: Totally pumped this was my first post that became a hot thread

Do you guys try to kill the engine asap after dropping the bike. I kinow it uses a dry sump but I doubt it is working properly when on its side.

At the softest spring, it feels kinda like a car's automatic transmission when you are sitting at idle. If you let off the brake, it will want to creep while in gear. When you slowly apply throttle, it immediately startings going forward and when the ***** engage more and more fully as the RPMs spin up, the take-off is smooth. With fewer *****, the final engagement is harder and faster.
with stiffer springs, the engagement is very light or none at idle as it takes some RPMs to get the clutch to engage. In this case, it's more like spinning up the RPM and dumping the clutch when you take off. The effect is adjustable depending on which spring you have and how many of the steel ***** you have installed.
The weird stuff starts when you have a stiff spring and are going down hill. If you tap the brake and lock up the rear tire, the tire will now free-wheel and you have no compression braking until you give the throttle a blip. The soft spring has pretty much full stock compression braking. The medium spring is less so, it will begin to free wheel if you are going down a slight incline and you slow to a low RPM. The hardest spring will freewheel sooner.
Shifting gears you don't use the clutch at all. In fact, you don't use the clutch at all except for feathering it out of corners if you want to, but even there it is not required.
It's taking a little while to get used to. I'm still not 100% sold on it, but I am warming up to it. The folks that use it, generally swear by it, claiming it gives them trials-like clutch control over the most technical terrain. The manual clutch still works, but it feels limp and mooshy. But it works. Except on down-shifting. If you try to pull the clutch to down-shift, it will freewheel thereafter until you blip the throttle again, so you no longer use the clutch at times you would normally, just when you want to feather the engagement.
Anyway, I'm still learning to use it ... I still have some combinations to try out to see what I like best. I need to install the thicker drive plate that came with the kit, I think, but they sent the wrong one, it doesn't fit my clutch hub. So I need to call them to send another.
