Backfiring when shifting with 1/4 throttle
Hey everyone I just rejetted my bike (mods in signature) and it's now popping when shifting and down shifting (pulling clutch in) with only about 1/4 throttle. It doesn't seem to pop anywhere after 1/2 throttle, even after WOT. It also doesn't seem to pop when letting off the gas quickly, only when clutching it to shift.
What will I need to adjust to remedy this popping? I've heard 1/4 out on the fuel screw. What do you guys think?
BTW I'm on Maui, Hawaii so pretty much sea level. (jetting in signature)
Thanks all.

turn in a bit...but, i wouldn't go a full 1/4 turn in...i noticed it's very sensitive with the dj128 or dj132...just turn mm at a time, ride, turn in, ride, etc...do smaller turns in...

@toyotabuilder I fully close the throttle when shifting, I'm talking about having it at 1/4 throttle before and after shifting.
@darkmarc I thought popping is a sign of a lean air/fuel mixture not rich? Also, doesn't the needle only affect 1/4 to about 3/4 throttle? It's popping only when the throttle is fully closed.
@ahnh666 I would love to that but I have the stock fuel screw unfortunately so It's most likely going to be a PITA to adjust it that many times.
@brieninsac Thanks, hopefully I get it dialed in. BTW I copied your signature layout
Do you have to rip the carb out to adjust the fuel screw? What methods have you guys used when using the stock screw?
Thanks guys

Ok I'll try this method but isn't popping a sign of a lean condition not rich?
