Are there any special tools aside from a socket set and torque wrench required for going to 292cc?

I can't think of any. Feeler gauges if you want to check and adjust your valves while you have everything apart. Oh, a ring compressor but a large hose clamp will work for that. You might need two torque wrenches - one for the light torque bolts and another for the heavy stuff like the cylinder head bolts. I think the service manuals are a must.

What about a wrist pin puller, the service manual states that its required but I don't recall you using one?

Mine slid out easy so I didn't need a puller. I doubt you will need one.

A good pair of needle nose pliers are handy for removing and inserting the piston pin clips.

You might need some gasket disolver to get the surfaces good and clean. I got mine at Autozone. The surfaces should be clean and dry when you put it together and have no left over gasket residue from the previous gaskets.

Some PJ-1 contact cleaner works wonders for cleaning up the new cylinder.

I think my install stalled when I needed a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter for torquing down the cylinder head bolts. My torque wrench was 1/2" but my allen head sockets were 3/8". I had to borrow an adapter at 10:30 at night from my friend up the road. Which reminds me, you'll need some allen head sockets for the cylinder head bolts - I think they were 8mm. And probably an extension to reach them if you don't already have one in your socket set.
