The new '08 KTM's sure do look like a home run to me. I figure by the time I'm ready to trade in my '07 in a few years they'll just be getting the bugs worked out of EFI. I've jetted my last carburetor - yeah baby!

A well tuned carb is a thing of beauty to behold. It's just getting it to that "well tuned" state that's the hard part.
EFI on the other hand uses microprocessors and a number of sensors to sense what is actually happening with the burn air/fuel ratio and modifies the mixture hundreds of times every second to always be correct for all conditions. That's the theory anyway and it works pretty darn good.
My only concern with EFI is that street legal bikes will be forever lean unless you fork over $300 for something like a PowerCommander. Whereas with a carb, you just swap a little brass to get your mixture back.
