Now the bolts for the luggage rack were the hardest to install. The rubber inserts were very tricky to work around. Have to really jam it, then wiggle it past the rubber. Better than listening to it vibrating though.

Now time for the reward (notice beer on luggage rack).
Some inital riding notes. I have heard that the KLX if it has a weakness is that it is a little underpowered. I weigh 200 lbs and on the first rides out on the dirt I can't see it, and my buddy and I are going up some real goat trails. Gearing could be easier, but still. Right out of the box, no mods, this is the ultimate dual sport bike.
At 7000', the carb needs to be broken in, but with the emission stuff set for sea level after a bit it is almost perfect.
After a ride, I have a smile from ear to ear. I only wish the paperwork would get here sooner so I could get the license plate (dealer hasn't sent the dealer plates yet) and ride it to work as well.

It's time to ride it like you stole it. Brain off gas on, lots of luck!

It looks like you did a great job of assembly, now you have two great bikes. With a KTM450 in the garage why would you need the KLX250? Not that it isn't a wonderful bike but that KTM is my dream bike.
