#125 Kaw, I assume, because I don't think DJ has a #125?

Yeah, EMS is (was) running the Kawasaki jets.

I settled on the DJ 120 main, third clip on the DJ needle.
Put it back together and she started right up.

No flames out the back but it's pretty loud in the basement.

Idles smooth with no choke after a few seconds. Big improvement there.
Throttles up and down nicely.

Can't really tell how it runs because I still have a flat tire which started me down this road in the first place.

Temperatures forecast in the Twenties for the next few days.
Not too worried because I know I've got the biggest part done.

This was a great experience for me, overcoming some fear and getting acquainted with my bike. I've gained some confidence (probably just enough to really screw things up).

Thanks again to all who helped.
I'll post back here to let everyone know how the jetting performs.

Good for you!

If/when you get back in the carb, if you didn't replace the butter-head phillips screw with SS allen heads, consider it.

Do you mean the one on the side of the carb that holds the bracket for the throttle cables?

The ones that hold the bowl on the bottom, even the 4 on top that hold the diaphram in.

I buggered the one on the side before I figured out I didn't have to take it off. Ordered a new one from bike bandit but I put some red lock tight on the old one and got it pretty tight.

I'll order up a set for top and bottom next parts order.

Did you get your motor back together?

you should be able to get them at a local hardware store. Probably cheaper.
Glad you got it going.

I always take the screw out that holds the throttle cables and just take that whole bracket off. That way i dont have to mess around with throttle play and adjust the cables again.

Not yet. Starting today after work.

Prolly not a good idea on using the Red on the supersoft carb button head screws.
