Default Anyone know where to get case paint?

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get ahold of the kawasaki bronze spray paint to use on the case. Thinking of redoing the case covers that are scratched up to kill some time till spring. Know of any other engine paints in that or a close color also?

Etching primer first then go for whatever colour you like.

You can spot paint with etching primer.

I mean you can use it before repainting the scratched areas.

Your friendly Kawasaki dealer would more than likely have / get some for you.

Here you go:

http://www.colorrite.com/product/kaw...ronze-1610.cfm

Even though it doesn't list the KLX as an application, it's the same color as our engine cases. Expensive stuff though.

I should have thought of that considering I have a zx6r with the same case paint..their disclaimer is interesing that they say it isnt durable "This color will not have the durability of a high-gloss color due to not requiring clearcoat. Please read disclaimer found here: Mat Finish Color Disclaimer"..........you would think a paint that is going to get abused on the trail and bike offroad boots would be durable...guess not

I think what they mean is that since it's not going to be clearcoated, the paint thickness will be less and easier to wear off. That being said, newer Kawasakis are notorious for having crappy case paint anyway. They all show wear eventually, but Kawasakis wear off the fastest.

Another paint you could try is Duplicolor Wheel Coating HWP 105 Bronze. I've heard that it's a dead-ringer for our case paint and more durable. I don't know if that's true, but it would be a whole lot cheaper to try.
