I am seriously looking at getting an 09 in a couple months. is anyone else is?

 

There is one guy here that mentioned it in passing

 

From what i've seen and read and spoke to dealer about I think I'll be hanging on to the 07, the only reason I'd have an 09 is for the digital speedo etc, but this can be replaced aftermarket on the 07 anyway. Not too many other changes that I can see, however I have heard that it is a bit more suited for road than the 07.

I'll most likely get one. The difference between the '07 and '09 will be noticeable mostly in feel, not in any measureable performance difference. They will be much the same bike. Having said that, for what I want it for, I would get the '09 were they sitting side-by-side at the shop. I like the looks, the instrumentation, andthe (reportedly)firmer suspension better. The other little details will make for a more solid, refined feeling bike. Nothing really measureable, though. My take.

 

I want a real pic of one, not off a website, lets see what Kawi came up with......they must be proud havin skipped the 08 date and giving it an 09.

I have not rode the klx. but i really like the direction they went with it for 09. i currently ride a honda crf250x and am looking for a bike that is more road worthy [no 6th gear in the honda].the new klx looks like it will work. i cannot find any ride reports of the 09 on the web but i am still looking.

 

Coming off a CRF-X anything is going to be more road worthy. Have you checked out the new Yamaha WR dual sports?

 

I, for 1, like analog guages much more than digital. I like the improved shifter star on the '09. Better road performance is a plus too. Any KLX is a work of art in my book.

 

personally if i wanted a bike for the street it wouldnt be in the 250cc category...
