Default anybody else have problems

Just wondering if anybody else has problems opening up a topic that has a lot of posts and/or photos in it. I don't have any problems on different forums so I am wondering if it is just this site.

If you are on a Dial-Up or slow connection, I could see that being a problem with big posts.................

Seems to me the server gets overloaded every so often. I don't have any problems once the thread starts to load, but often times I click on a thread, reply, etc, and the site just ignores it. I have to keep retrying, and then finally it goes. Seems like the server is just dropping some requests. Usually this only happens when the load is too high, but I have no idea what else is hosted on this server or if it is dedicated or what kind of bandwidth is available. Could be a number of things.

Yeah I am on dial up, and most of the time it starts to go into the thread then it tells me that internet explorer can not do it and the operation was aborted. If I hit the refresh button it will usually load on the first time sometimes it takes two refreshes. The show your bike thread is impossible for me to get into. I don't have this problem on other forums, but it will take a while to get all the photos to come up, isn't dial up great.

yep, what nobrakes said... Sometimes you just have to click a few times before your request is "heard".... This site more often than others. Kind of annoying since it often happens when submitting a reply to a thread. (aarrgh! like this one!)

Yes almost half the time when I click ok to add a post to a thread, it just hangs, and if you have written up a long post its frustrating, what I usually do before I hit the OK button is to highlight the whole post, then if it hangs I just push the back button and reply and paste it again, then it always goes through.

I get stuck / hung up a lot as well, but it only happens here. Seems to happen most when the board is storing or retrieving user specific thread information ... what my last read posts were, am I writing a post, previewing a post, etc. It also seems to be very sensitive to cookies (i.e. if I have multiple browsers open to KawasakiForums, that causes a lot of confusion.)

Its specially frustrating when replying, and I forget to copy the message to my clipboard ... just in case.

I find the if I get hung somewhere, clicking the browser's Refresh button, sort of gives the web site a "kick in the head" and gets things moving, without causing any upset (logging out, ASP errors, etc.)
