any other 09's leak at the oil fill cap?

My '06 leaked as well. What I did was buy a works plug from rocky mountain, for the klx 300 '06 of course. No more leaks.

No leaks on my '09.

Actually did the 1st change today, and the cap was very, VERY loose. Surprised there were no leaks...

my '07 did a tiny bit until i rerouted the vent for the crankcase breather now its fine, maybe too much pressure in there with that stock little hole venting into the airbox ?

My 09 leaks there and at the two half moons on the right side and its getting worse. I read that a larger o ring (91306-634-000 HO FMP O RING 17X3.5 $2.37) works. Taking the bike in for warranty work to replace the head gasket. My motor is a mess at 4,000 miles. PISSED!

make sure you oring is not stretched from taken it on and off and you dont want to tighten more then hand tight damages the oring

You can have my stock one as I replaced it with a aftermarket shiny red one ... never has leaked in 8 yrs
