I live in Delaware Ohio, just north of Columbus. I have a KLX650 and have developed a few parts for it, mostly due to necessity and that no one made stuff for it due to low sales. It'll kick KLR tail all day long, but cost more... sorry, I digress.

I am working up a line of "bling" for the KLX650 and would enjoy the challenge to see if I could do some KLX250 stuff too. Either aluminum or stainless chain guard, chain guide, sprocket cover, and rear caliper guard. Part of the thought is to try to get prices down to a reasonable level when compared to the stuff now available. I've done that to an extent with cam chain tensioners for Kaws (in process of working on one with a few 250 owners right now). I don't know what can be done, but if I can get a 250 to measure up and do some prototypes it could be kind of fun to play.

Anyone near by? I teach in a Delaware County school district and am off for the summer so I have some time to play in CAD and have a friend who can cut the material. I already have some prototype 650 items in a thin aluminum for test fitting. We discussed materials and think a .090" stainless would be best from a strength standpoint. It can be brushed or buffed and it can take more of a beating, but aluminum could be done too.
