I had forgotten about the t63. I had all but decided that my KLX would never see much dirt but I have been able to treat it right lately.

The T63 may just be a good way to go for my dirt road adventures.

Talking Re-tired today

Finally got these on the bike, they've been in the basement for a few years.
REAR Michelin AC-10
FRONT Pirelli MT21 (forgot to take the picture before putting the wheel back on the bike)
Should I have left the 605s on for a few more kms??

MT21 is a great tire, front and rear.

K270's are great if you run rim locks! I've ran 15psi on gravel and dirt before the rim locks, just did a gravel run the fastest yet at 10/12psi (rear/front). Way more stable with lower pressure in the corners.
On the road ya gotta go a little slower until you air back up.

Thanks for this reminder. I have been running road pressure on the dirt roads not even thinking about it. I have a rear rim lock but I will do the front at tire change time. How low is good for both dirt road traction and not to squishy for pavement?

After I do warranty on the rear I'll find out. Went to go for a ride today to check the balance. Bike felt heavy as I wheeled it out of it's spot. Tapped the front OK, rear NOT good as in FLAT. No leak at the core but I could hear air hissing out of the stem hole in the rim after I pumped it up. Pinched during install? Damaged the stem/tube interface wrestling the stem into place? Didn't have a chance today to tear it apart. Know what I'm doing tomorrow. Glad I didn't just go ripping off right after the install. I would have been in the middle of nowhere when it went flat if I was lucky or if not lucky, wound right out on the highway to see how the balance was.

The 270's don't look like they have any side tread on them, like the stockers do. Has that been a problem for anyone who runs them?
