first was to invert the bracket to see how high i could cut

 

then was the marking

first "rough" cut. used air compressor and cut off wheel

 

a little sanding to clean up

 

bracket back on inverted

 

done sir done

 

thought about hacking off the reflector tabs from the bracket but when i looked at it i thought i might bolt something on to it later.
small fuel bottle or something.
if not i can always cut them off another day.


job was easy took about 10-15 min.
