Does anyone else find it hard to take out the spark plug with a Clarke tank?
The stock tool doesn't fit without removing the tank.
In fact there is so little clearance that non of the plug removing tools I have work unless I remove the tank.
I don't remember it being a problem with the stock tank.
No biggie but its a bit annoying.

The price of 2 extra litres.

I agree with you...I lost the sparkplug wrench that came with my tool kit so I have to take my stock tank off when I need to change the plug!!!!

Dang! take off the tank to change a plug? That's messed up. There must be some sort of tool at the parts store that will facilitate this procedure. That's why I never took off my stock tool bag, and its never going anywhere.

Cool

I have an IMS tank so the stock kit stuff didn't work either. Cut down some other plug wrench and drilled new holes. Still a PITA!!! So, I drove down to the closest Shucks/Als auto part store. Powerbuilt brand---1/4 inch drive ratchet about 3 1/2 inches long, 5/8 inch plug wrench w/ 3/8 inch drive, 4 pc adapter set and of course I use the 1/4 to 3/8 adapter. PERFECT TOOL!!! I think it all came to maybe 27$. Not bad because I like to put a new plug in my single cyl engine often. If you have touble finding a settup like this just PM me and I'll get you set up. I wasn't about to take my tank off all the time. What if I was racing in the Paris/Dakar and fouled a plug?? Later guys.

Yeah the only reason I lost my sparkplug wrench is I forgot to zip the tool pouch one day before I went for a ride...But all in all its a pain the take the tank off but it's only a few bolts and I don't have to spend money on a new tool for it....
