That allen wrench idea is great, I'll use that next time. I just battled with it and used a long screwdriver from the top to kind of get the lip where it needed to be. I found it easier to completely remove both clamps from the tube, get the tube where it needed to be (rotating it since it has some permanent bends in it), and then put the clamps back on. When I tried doing it with just the clamps loosened up a bit, I bent the hell out of them, they are made from tin foil.
