Hi all, thanks for the add. I’ve had the bike about a week and there’s a list of stuff I want to do but I’m having a very difficult time finding parts. I realize it’s new to the market but is there a 2020 model that might be interchangeable? Looking for skid plate, exhaust, tuner and fender delete to start with. And yes I know there are no real gains for an exhaust. This will primarily be for my son and I want it a bit louder to make him more noticeable. Thanks for any info.

 

I recently got one too, and the aftermarket is really thin.

This is what I found so far:
Delkovic makes exhausts that have bungs for the O2 sensor, I got a nice rack from Amazon. KoubaLink makes good lowering links in various sizes.TST makes a good rear fender eliminator. I modified it to fit even better.

What I'd like to see is a self tuning ECU.

 

Pretty much anything that fits the 2009 and up KLXs will fit the new 300 since the main difference is only the displacement relative to the aftermarket stuff. Some of the stuff that fit the KLX300Rs and the pre-09 KLX250s also fit, like skid plates.

 

Thanks for the info. Skid plate is number one since the bike came with nothing at all. I was actually surprised by that. Anyone running the Big Gun exhaust?

 

I'm running a custom made slip on exhaust I adapted to my bike by putting together parts from two different exhausts.



It can be adjusted with tuning disks from mild to wild.



Right now I'm in the middle of putting together another one that still has fitment issues to overcome because I'm adapting parts to an unintended purpose.
The stock exhaust weighs 8 pounds 12 ounces while this one weighs 4 pounds 6 ounces. There is no exhaust made which is more compact than this one.

It's all stainless and has a bung for the stock O2 sensor so nothing needs to be bypassed. When it's up for sale the price will be more than a Big Gun slip on.
