seems like the 350 or 450 exc are quite rare and do not come up for sale often around here..looks like i'll have to buy new...wonder if they allow test rides ...i'll continue to rack up the commute miles on the klx250sf...and, do some ktm fun on weekends and after work rides...

I love my bike and can't see ever getting rid of it. But I can see myself getting a mid-sized touring bike one day. I've taken my wife out on it and she liked it enough to buy her own helmet last week. It's fine for short trips but nothing more. I could see us going on more road trips with a bigger more comfortable bike.

Husabergs are not that high maintenance, also you might want to have a look at what Beta has to offer.

idk about buying a used ktm again most the times i have looked at them the are pretty beat or they want new asking price because they did't ride it, honestly the people i know myself included that buy ktm's new(typically) are serious riders that are going to use a bike for all its worth and they usually have been and i just typically like to buy a bike like that new, and after riding the exc350 and 500 i can see why you can't rally find a used one other than they are fairly new but the people who buy them are going to keep them a bike like that really is an investment.

I have been looking at the KTM Enduro 690R for my next bike. Weighs only 25 pounds more than the klx with 66hp. Has the proven LC4 motor, same motor in their super motards. Very clean looking too.
