Default Additional lights

2007 KLX250S, thinking about adding additional lights up front. How much capacity does the bike to carry additional loads on the electrical system? Any suggestions (not going to add PIAA - too expensive).

Hold the phone there olderthandirt, get your butt over to the new members area and give us a proper introduction. Oh and how much older than dirt are you? Oh and welcome in advance and great bike there. I don't know about the lights but someone on here will have an answer soon. Where do you live?

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I got a set of PIAAs from Amazon relatively cheap and mounted them on my other bike, (a Buell Ulysses) and they're awesome for lighting up the road for a good distance.

How would you mount other lights? The ones on my Uly are mounted in an aluminum bar that screws in between the front fender and the forks. The same might work on the KLX.

Nothing specific on mounting lights. Will depend on type & size of lights.

Trailtech makes some relatively cheap lights with handlebar, post, and frame mounts that might work. I don't know anything about their quality, but they look decent.

But I digress. Does anyone know the answer to olderthandirt's question? How much electrical load can the KLX250 take?
