But yeah once that's done, I think the vacuum from the engine would be enough to suck the fuel up from there.

The screen filter in the tank screws into the petcock. The petcock thread is common 1/8" FPT.

For my conversion I used a 1/8" MPT hose barb at the petcock. There were two pieces of end weighted flexible tubing that led to the bottom of the wings. These were TEE'd into the 1/8" barb in the petcock.

When you say vacuum from the engine, I'm guessing you mean suction on the fuel line from the carburetor?? If so, that won't work because there isn't any. Remember the float bowl is vented to atmosphere.

I used a snowmobile fuel pump. You can see it on the inside of the frame behind the side cowl. It's bolted to the oem petcock bracket.

have the acerbes and the smaller clark. pro's and cons. I like the radiator protection of the 3.7 but don't like the way it carrys more weight forward (than the already forward weight biased bike) make the front end push in loose stuff. It is worth it for long rides for the added fuel. Only way you'd not get most the fuel out of the wings is if you were on long straight up slab. If your offroad hitting bumps and leaning the bike you'll get most of it. If you do cough I find pointing the bike up a bank or hill is easier than stopping to tip. The section of the tank the petcock draws from is sort of a well, and will catch the sloshing fuel. The 1 time I ran dry there was about a fist size amount of fuel left in 1 wing after a bunch of tipping.

i thought about doing the pump mod but decided that getting a kolpin fuel pack was more time and cost effective and less headache in the long run
