Default 51mpg

I installed the dyno jet. I was getting 62ish before i jetted the bike. It runs good right now, starts great. I'm just concerned that i'm running way to rich. Worried about buildup in the top end, and traveling any distance on that small joke of a tank.
Uni filter, snorkel still in, stage one kit. 116 main, clip on the 3rd slot, screw is just shy of 3 turns out.

i get little over 60 mpg from riding 75 mph to 85 mph on freeways at about 7,200 rpm to 8,200 rpm at all times....that's with a main jet dj132, k&n in a closed air box with kdx snorkel and hmf exhaust...

play around with the adjustments (mirco-adjustments)...try closing the air box if you have it open...try putting the snorkel back on....after jetting and screw adjustments....playing around with the air box got my klx250sf running smooth...

I think i'm running rich, that's my mpg around town. I'm really easy on the bike too. Might take the snorkel out to lean it up a bit.

Even when the bike was totally stock and near new mpg has been right at 50% when using it in the woods. Seriously, 30-35 mpg in single track but then 60-70 on the highway.

This thing is a gas hog in the woods.

When you move more air (with re-jetting, pipe, etc.) you will move more fuel, too. I've never known a pipe-n-rejet project to improve mpg.
(Not trying to be a smart-a$$)

I don't appreciate the attitude... if it continues i will have to take action.

It's not the tuning that moves more fuel, it's the throttle position.

Oh, and I was regularly getting close to 70mpg on road with a pipe and IIRC 124 jet, KDX snorkel. Trails, well.... you're not cruising on nice smooth flat pavement you're constantly accelerating, going up hills etc so ya it's gonna drop.
