Default 351 kit jetting with stock exhaust for 09 KLXS

Need advice. I'm at 900' in So Cal. I have the Dyno jet kit and Kouba. Twin Air, removed snorkel and backfire mesh (which was a bitch). Stock exhaust and pipe. Later (when its warmer) I'll be running 4000' to 6000'. Suggestions for either would be helpful. Thanks

Now that will be an interesting setup. Surely there's one out there somewhere, but I don't believe I've seen anyone with a big bore kit and the fully stock exhaust. Most at least go to a slip-on muffler. I'm curious.

As TNC said, most go with at least a slip-on. If I were doing this, I'd try the Stage 2 setup. It might be a bit too rich, in which case I'd drop the main one size, and maybe drop the needle one clip. But, that's just my WAG...it's not based upon actual experience.

Good luck with it. Be sure and let us know how what you did and how it works out!

The stock setup exhaust is because I will be doing all my riding in the city for the next couple months. I also want to get a real baseline to compare with my anticipated KLX 300 Header ($108 from dealer) and exhaust ($75 used) to be added when I go to the mountains (I'll have to change the jetting anyway).

I have the 351 with slightly modified stock exhaust and carb. DJ kit, KDX snorkel 132 main runs pretty good. A little black in the exhaust.

Wow...I would have guess the 132 would be too big with a stock exhaust. Oh, it's modified...obviously opened up, right? Do you think it would be even better with a 130, or even 128?

I like what you've done with the stock exhaust. It would be cool to see some dyno runs with your bike & your exhaust compared to stock and aftermarket stuff. Alas..money and time

Mikuni 36-68 will be here tomorrow.

Dyno time is next week. I have my pipe and a stock one to compare it to.

I think 132 is just right.

Too bad we can't get you an aftermarket also. I'd offer mine, but it's being used

I would like an after market, but hey... It will be done with NO muffler.
