There is a Smog removal thread somewhere in the stickies that might help, it's been so long since I did it I don't really remember.
I did use vinyl caps to cover the holes (white on the carb and yellow? on the airbox - they are color coded for size). I also put some RTV on the nipples before I put the cap on, just to keep it from slipping off. I found the caps at Home Despot.

He did the crankcase vent too, not necessary IMHO.
Make sure your carb is on the boots correctly too.
You'll get it.

Thanks! !!!

Well, took a little gas in the cylinder to get her going but she fired up!

Did the first heat cycle, now going to let her cool for the night.

Hopefully I didn't screw anything else up lol

Cool! Sounds promising, mine took a while to fire at first too. Did you install the pumper?

Your bike is worth $300. Give me your address and I will come and pick it up.

Gonna break her in with the cvk before installing the pumper. Also still have to get jets for the tm36.

Mine seems to be running hot now tho. Only have done the heat cycle tho. It was up - jetted by PO but he didn't know what jet, but it was running rich before install. might have to pull carb again to rejet.
