331 Squidflipper 3rd to 4th gear wheelie

Ok, guys. Here's a video from this weekend of the 331 that should remove any doubt as to its ability to get it up in third gear. You will hear a 3to 4 shift near the end as well. Note that I am on a gravel road and having to be very cautious of the traction situation, thus the throttle jocky sounds. It is not cutting out, but I am having to back off quickly when it hooks up or it'll flip the squid. I am making somewhere around 35 mph at the beginning and who knows how fast at the end of this wheelie. I've done much better, but this one was caught on video. I thought I'd share it. I will also see if I can get a few fun stills from this weekend as well.

Most awesome my brudda!
A couple of my riding partners with 315cc kitsplay around like that all the time, though mostly on harder packed dirt and pavement.
Nice to see you got the bike where you want it. Props on the air time and footage thereof!

Dave, I'd love to join you guys for a ride. I rode my bicycle there on a solo, TransContinental ride a few summers back. It looks like a place a guy could get hooked on in a hurry.
As for lessons, you don't want them from me, I'll assure you. I'm about one in four for getting on the brake when I should. I'm lucky 99 out of 100. Do the math. I almost got nailed last week, thus the Squidflipper handle for my bike. Practice, mano and wear your get-off hard gear.

Shadetree, have you changed your gearing?
I've got a 331cc as well, but with stock gears and stock carburetor. My bike is nowhere close to lifting the front wheel - even in 1st or 2nd gear... [&:] (OK, maybe a little wheelie in 1st)... I don't know if it's a jetting issue (that I'm not making enough power) or just riding technique...??
I've never been able to wheelie a long distance, but also have never had any problem hopping over 18 inch logs etc with my CR125.
I just cannot wheelie this damn KLX. Even little ones. I'm just about to bite the bullet on a TM33 pumper from BillBlue.
