250s vs. 300r fork springs
Does anyone know what the exact difference is between the 250s springs and the 300r springs? I am thinking about doing the kx fork swap and there are apacers that need to be made to lower the forks and then run klx springs. There are prints for the spacers on planet klx, but I got to thinking and remembered that there was a difference between the 250 and 300 springs and I wonder if the spacer would be modified to use the 250s springs. I already have 250s springs for my weight and didn't really want to buy a set of 300r springs unless they recomend me going up one rate. If thats the case, anyone interested in a set of .42 springs.

Let me know what u find...I recently came across a common p/n for both the klx250 and klx300r front fork springs. They shared the same .38 kg/mm p/n, but no p/n was listed for the klx250 for a heavier spring, but one was listed for the 300. I am curious as to any differences as well.

What all do you plan to do to the forks before you put them on. I was planning on new seals, bushings and oil but not sure about new valves. One mechanic that I talked to said the stock kx valves were good.

I talked to John at moto-pro today about the stock suspension and using the kx forks. He felt that the stock klx forks with the proper springs and there revalve would handle just as well as the kx forks sprung and revalved. He didn't feel it was worth spending the extra money on the kx forks to start. He also didn't feel that the external rebound was that important.
I am going to talk with the guys at W.E.R. tommorow and see how they feel about the suspension on the bike and what they can do for it.
