Deej,

Kawasaki has been making motorcycles for many years now in all sorts of configurations. The KLX250S is a "make from" motorcycle. I don't think there is much on the bike that is original. That is basically why it is such a great bike. I understand that it has been sold in Asia for several years in the same configuration that it is now being sold here in the United States.

Nothing to be alarmed about as this is standard operating procedure for Kawasaki and many other manufacturers. Once a particular part is made, unless there are problems with it, it is used on many motorcycles.

Hope this helps.
