Default 250 powerbomb

I found a Powerbomb head pipe that fits my KLX250. The bike is stock but seems to have more power on low end with the pipe. I have ordered all the parts todd r. listed in "opening up the 250KLX". Do i really need a 350$ can or is there a mod. for the stock can that will work? I plan to drill out the baffle plate per instructions, is that enough? Help an 'ole boy out!

a new muffler will help performance, just depends on how much performance/ how deep ur pockets are... you dont "need" it. but it helps. Alot of people have the stock exhaust still. But the rejet is worth it... thats what you meant by all the parts?
