Default 2012 KLX250S - Hard to start after Carb rebuild

Just bought the 250, it sat for 2 years with gas in it. It was not running when I bought it. I pulled the Carb off, got a rebuild kit and replaced the jets.
I got it running, but it only starts if I use starter fluid to get it going. Seems to run OK once it gets going, but it will not start when it's cold without starter fluid.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!!

Don't twist the throttle while starting at all.

I appreciate the input, I've tried that, no luck.......................
When it does start, it's kind of strange.
I hit it with the starter fluid and it will only start with the throttle wide open, then it pops a little, then pops more and more until it finally runs. It acts like it's flooded..............

Did you clean the starter jet? Take a look at the picture Carb Mods Continued run some fine wire in it but be careful its not an easily replaceable part.

It will take a while to digest all of that!
But, the answer to this problem definitely lies somewhere in that post.
THANKS ! ! !

Is it jetted properly? Stock KLX is a pain in the butt to start, will crank and crank. Proper jetting and it works great.
