Default 2011 Fork MOD

Hey everyone-big surprise, my 2011 stock fork is too soft for my 175 pound body. I read where someone cut some spacers and inserted them inside as preload for the stock springs and it seemed to work well for him. Other than that and changing the oil and maybe raising the level, what do others recommend? I will be riding mostly off road in the sand and eastern PA rocky rooty trails at low to medium speeds (first to 4 th gears). Any help will be appreciated. I am not opposed to changing the springs and possibly installing GV's eventually. Right now, I'm just trying to keep costs down and determine whether the low cost mods will be effective.

Get the correct springs for your riding weight. Heavier oil could just make the forks harsh and won't hold the front end up where it belongs for proper steering geometry. Start saving for the GV's.

Ride on
Brewster.
