Question 2010 klx250s electric start

I just bought a 2010 klx250s not even a week ago, only have about 40 miles on it as of right now, but im having a problem with the electric start, i cant seem to start the bike unless i have it full choke, its not cold out, its about 70 outside , if ive had it running for a few mins, than turn it off, itll start right up without the choke.
is this because its still a new bike? will it eventually break in to where I dont need to use the choke everytime?

Sorry if this is a n00b question lol, ive never owned my own bike untill this one, I used to ride when I was a kid but no electric start, and never owned my own.

70 is not warm to a machine that is designed to run between 140 and 200 degrees.

Stock these things are jetted really lean. This is a common problem with the KLX 250s. Rejet it and reset the idle mixture screw to about 2.5 turns out from fully in (there are many threads with the details on how to do this). That will help some. There is at least one thread by TNC on drilling out (or replacing) the starter jet. I can't remember for sure but I think he said he got good results doing this.

You'll still need choke on a cold start for a few moments at least. The above will help starting and warm up, but not eliminate a choke for a dead cold engine IMHO.

Your problem has nothing to do with the electric start as you indicated, get the thing jetted correctly and you will have no more problems. As roadglider said they are too lean stock.

Until you can rejet it, turn off the petcock and run it out of fuel before you park it. It will help for some reason. No one as far as I know knows why but it worked for me and others on this forum.

I've found that turning the fuel off can help too.
Wonder why...perhaps the carb is vapor locking when you shut it off. This is just a theory of mine. I'm no bike/carb tech, but it makes a bit of sense to a new-age auto tech.
