Damn! I snapped the studs that hold the axle in place on the right leg. Stupid tiny bolts can't take the pressure. Off to Ace. Anyone know the torque values on these little tiny nuts?

78 inch pounds, believe that converts to 6.49 foot pounds, careful.

Alright, I finally rebuilt my front wheel using my original hub and all the remaining parts (spokes, nipples, rim) from the new 09 wheel purchased off ebay. I mounted a new K761 tire and it is now ready for testing. I'm gonna take it for a spin this evening when I get home from work but I'm nervous about it since it is my first wheel build ever on a motorcycle. It should be fine as the spokes are tight and the wheel is true.

If you don't see a post here by Monday it means my new wheel came apart and I'm probably road kill.

Ok, the wheel held up. Perfectly round and true. Glad to have taken on this project. I learned something new.
