Hello forum, can someone please tell me any differences between the 2009 KLX 250S Vs the 2014?

Seriously, when I was looking at bikes and granted my choices were between a 2009 and a 2013 the only specification differences were the colors. I believe nothing changed in 2014 either. In fact I watched a shoot out between K & H and they were raving about EFI and a fuel gauge on the H while mentioning nothing had changed on the K. Now 2007 and older do have some things different.

 

No differences other than colors '09 and newer. The '09 do reportedly have a shift star that can break which caused a change in that part. See sticky.

 

Hey Guy's so I bought the 2014 kLX 250s. Great bike I love it. Except for the SHORT very bendable shift lever. The only one I can find on the innerweb is a Hammerhead and it say's doesn't fit my bike.?. Someone on a forum said it works with a little bending. Has anyone here found one?

 

I put an IMS folding shift lever on mine 4 years ago. Works great. $30 plus shipping at the time. Worth a look anyway. Cheers.

 

I have the IMS shift lever on my 2006 as well. It's great.

 

Musta been a Euro or Aussie shoot out. All US were carbed. Not all bad if you jet it in. Gains power for sure.
