2009 klx 250s how to wheelie
As my confidence grows I am finding the stock bike fun but I want more.
To get the front wheel off the ground I have to use the cluthch and higher revs that make me fear flipping over instead of just lifting the wheel. Either I am doing something totally wrong (likely) or I need more power (I made it a whole week!) or both A guy locally has a 4.1 fmf tail piece and mega bomb exhaust that fits a 2007 k x four stroke will this work for my bike |
The bike doesn't make enough power to wheelie. If you put a full exhaust on it and jet it properly and put in an aftermarket air filter and go up several teeth on the rear sprocket, you might be able to wheelie, but you'd still probably need some clutch action.

i have a K&N, removed air box lid, 46t rear and a BG full pipe.. effortlessly lifts the front tire in 1st (no clutch play) and every now and again ill hit second right and itll bring it back up.. you want more, get a jug.

I just give the bike to my 14 year old son and he can get the frount up a foot or two, mine you he is a lot lighter than me

I have never been able to wheelie this bike. I couldn't imagine doing it with the stock 14-42 gears. Not calling you out but you must be lighter than me or hella-bowed up in the arms to lift the front wheel on this thing in stock trim.

Blip throttle, forks rise, forks dive, when they're rising again open throttle and give the bars a tug. Presto! Wheely, mono (AUS speak.)
Here endeth the lesson for today.:D |

Heck, I can get the front up with a 15T on my 300cc which I imagine is roughly equivalent to the 250 with stock gearing. Not saying it's super easy, but it's doable. |
Where's that video of Shane Watts riding someone's KLX around on one wheel?
Here it is. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHelgL4TGpA |
