No doubt! The ghost of "Iowaguy" (or whatever name he was using) has returned to haunt us. No not really. This thread has remained thoughtful and civil. Impressive. Now what the hell is wrong with us? Apparently we can actually discuss the two versions without dragging it down to a pissing match over spokes, swingarms, and gear ratios.

Will an 06 engine fit in a 10, without mods or new wiring harness? Got a blown bottom end on a 2010 big bore but found a 2006 complete engine.

 

Ask Cousin Larry. He did similar, only the reverse. He used an '09 bottom end in an '06/'07 bike.

P.S. The '06/'07 bottom end has better gearing.
