Default 2006 KLX 250S - Question

Hey all,

I'm a first time in the market for a dual sport bike and a friend of friend has a KLX 250 for sale. My question is I'm 6'"6 and 285 lbs.

Will this bike be to small for me?

I keep looking at the 600/650cc range but I don't want a large bike I cant throw around in the dirt.

any help would be great - THANKS!!!

I figured it was - I just haven't ever sat on or ridden one to know.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm 250lbs and manage to scoot fine on a 250, however I'm not 6'6" you may also like to check out the 400cc range stuff as that will keep you in a somewhat lighter bike if you try the right things.

I agree on the XR650L. I have a friend in that size range, and the XR650L has fit him perfectly. He has enjoyed it thoroughly.

6-1 and 250 here and it is perfect in my opinion. Where are you located? Welcome to the forums. The DRZ with its 400 cc motor or the Honda 650 may be a better fit. Let us know what you decide.

Well I ended up find a deal on the ADVRider.com site and picked up an Yamaha XT600.

Its an older bike, but it seems to fit pretty well and I cant wait to get it tagged and hit the trails.

thanks everyone.

Try the KTM's. I only wish I was tall enough for one.
