Looking for input on this bike. I found a used one with 1800miles, seems to be in good shape, carb has been cleaned, no issues, price is in my budget."Starts on first crank". Haven't seen it yet.I'm really interested in lack of electric start issues..almost 50yrs oldhere, still can crank, butdo I want to? Would I make a big mistake here ? Also bike has street tires, I would need knobbies almost immediately for road & trail. More $$.

Not much time on this, anyone care to offer quick comments/input ?

 

A 2000? Hmmmm let me see what I ca find out. Are you sure its not a KLR 250? The KLR had kick start. I couldn't find any info on a 2000 KLX.....Anyone?

 

Whoa...Deej....sorry, a quick check andIT ISA KLR250... whew, moving too quick here. I've had KLX on the brain for a few weeks now.

Ok, done deal, pretty sure I'll pass on this now. Not what I want.

Oh OK, but don't rule out the KLR altogether, they are great bikes that have been in production for 20 years. I saw a 2005 a few months ago and I have to admit it is a nice looking bike. Funny you should mention the kick starter. I would still like to put one on my bike, as it has the option, and Silver Otter offered to help my install it, I just might take him upon it someday. Keep looking out there. I checked Craig's list in your area and even over to Texas, not much in the way of KLX's but you'll find a great bike, just don't give up. Later man.

Anyone looking for a KLR250 this is a 2000 model, about 1800 miles, located about 20miles west of New Orleans. Per my phone call, he would sell for about $1500.
