i went to my dealer today to check out the cost of a 2 brothers slipon, and it was 539.99 CAD.....would it be be cheaper to buy from the states. i'd have to pay international shipping and also possibly customs. what do you guys think?

 

Typical pricing is around $350 for the 2 Bros. I think. You'd have to figure in your extras plus the wait time to decide if it was worth it.

I don't know about the 2 Brothers pricing, but I know that UPS Canada's business practices regarding Customes and brokerage fees are a TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! (Example: A $5.99 neoprene CO2 cartridge holder would cost over $56 Cdn in UPS brokerage fees!!!)

Use Fed-Ex and Perolator instead. If the vendor you want to deal with only ships by UPS, thenfind another vendor.

UPSP snail-mail is even better than dealing with UPS. It is slower, but avoids the aggravation of being ripped off by UPS's unfair and hidden brokerage fees.

ordered mine from More Power costing me a total of $404 Cdnthat includes shipping to Calgary.

They charge $40 USD for shipping to Canada. So if you figure around $350 USD to Canada, that's about $375 CAD. Not sure how the taxes work but you'd probably have to pay GST on it as well.
