Default 09' vs 13'

Wow haven't been on here in a while! Back in August of 08' I bought a new 09 250, I loved that bike like a child! Sold it dec. 24 2011 had 18,000 miles on it burning oil like crazy. I rode her hard and put way wet lol anyway was thinking about how much I miss having a dual sport and want to get another. Would like to have gobs of power so I was looking at the ktm 500exc but it's $10k and high maintenance. Now I'm thinkin how much I loved my klx of just getting another new one. Just from eyeballing one at the dealer they look exactly the same as a 09' just different graphics. If somebody could fill me in on what I've missed in the last few years that would be great! Thanks!

Wow some of those colors look terrible! Thanks for the reply! Wish they would fuel inject these bikes. Althought never had a problem with stock carb.

Yeah, not a fan of the 2014 colors either.

As nice as it would be to be able to hit the starter and go with FI, a carb is easy to rejet when you mod the bike. A simple bike is less likely to fail out on the trail... but yeah FI might be nice. Not a show stopper for me.

Compare to those other colors I think the green/black looks good. Never been a fan of all black. I do agree with you there, cheap to mod and repair on the trail if you had too. Seeing as how these bikes are still on the cheap side of dual sports I don't mind carb. FI would probly tack on another $1k

Kawi would lose big time if they added $1k for FI. Honda's FI model is $400 less already....

Carb Kawi KLX250S MSRP is $5,099
FI Honda CRF250L MSRP is $4,699

FI is just more to go wrong when you're out in the middle of nowhere...

Depends on which one, the WR250R is $6,690. The Fuel Injected/Aircooled XT250 is $5,190

How is the Honda? After watching reviews on it, it looks pretty sweet. Obviously you guys might be bias cuz it's a kawi forum lol
