I got a letter today about a gas tank safety recall. Anyone else get one yet? What are they doing to fix the "problem", adding a washer?

Got mine...I need to take my bike in for jetting anyways, It's new and just finished my break-in...ride it like you stole it...so they can inspect my tank then....The recall is for "bad welds in the gas tank"hmmm also in bold print DON'T RIDE THIS MOTORCYCLE...oh well too late..haha

I'd like to see the whole letter if possible. I'm the 2nd owner of my '09 so probably won't get a letter.

"Have others on here received the same notice? It states " Kawasaki Corp USA has decided that a tank defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 2009-2010 KLX 250 models. On eligible units, the fuel tank could leak from cracks at the spot of the welds on the side mount taps due to stress caused by excessive clearance between the fuel tank and a frame-mounted rubber damper. Fuel leakage in the presence of spark or flame could cause a fire or explosion"."

Sounds like a washer or spacer could fix the potential problem.
Let us know what the dealers are doing.
