'09 rear shock rebuild

Default '09 rear shock rebuild

Re-seal and oil change in progress, anybody know the shock piston rod nut torque? I can't find it.....

You could contact the manufacturer for information. I forget if they used a KYB or Showa, I think the KYB.

According to Race Tech its 25 ft pounds.

I should have mentioned I've done this before, when looking for parts for the KYB shocks on a Kaw Zephyr 550. Actually spoke to a human being who answered my questions. I've also contacted Brembo with questions, again, getting answers by email this time. Same with Delkovic when I bought an exhaust for a XSR700, asking about sound volume and need for reflashing CPU. Also have contacted tire manufacturers with questions as well. Never hurts to ask those who make or specialize in products.
