Is anyone making plastics yet for the 08-09 model besides OEM? I'm looking to get some white or black ones and dont want to pay the full OEM price. I did't see anything yet on Maier, UFO, or Acerbis for these new models yet.

I'd say the chances of aftermarket plastic for the 09 is slim to none. Probably for the 06-07 as well.

 

yeah, very very true that there is next to no aftermarket support for any klx, especially for plastics, other than the standard 4 bolt front fender. i think that to get any of the manufacturers to start making parts for our bikes, we would have to actually take some initiative ourselves and let them know through snail mail that their could be quite a bit of business they are missing.acerbis and maier really need to do something. my shrouds are sooooo faded from the sun.

 

alot of members of this forum sent maier emails about making plastics for the 06-07 klx.... no go.... good luck with the 09.....

 

I guess OEM d-tracer black or white plastics is going to be my only option[>:] if I want something besides red or green.

 

Why would a company make any stuff for a bike that only had a 2 year run in the states & was already changed?

 

Very limited supply bike for USA market, had to roto router my own plastics for my IMS tank, or cheapest rad shrouds were $84 plus shipping and handling and custums(canuck). We have a bike that is just getting back into the main stream,(I.E. dual sport). When I started riding DT Yams, XL Hondas,DS Suzis, weremainstream,were coming back!
