Default 07 KLX250S Cylinder and Piston

I know this is the wrong place to post this but the site won't let me do it in the classifieds. I have an almost brand new 07 KLX250S cylinder, piston, base gasket and head gasket for sale for $100 plus shipping. They were removed off my bike with less than 300 miles and replaced with a new KLX300 cylinder. Also have a perfect muffler section from the same bike for $50. Pics available upon request.

Good luck.

I keep pondering doing the same with my 250cc cylinder and pistion. I think I had all of about 6000mi on it when I installed the 300cc cylinder.

I don't know about motorcycle engines. . . but in the automotive repair world you NEVER, EVER re-use a cylinderhead gasket and I wouldn't trust the base gasket, unless, of course, you're into doing the job twice!

It's the same in the motorcycle world with the exception that a bike is way easier to R and R the head and an undamaged gasket set off a nearly new engine would probably not give you any problems.

With that said; if I were to replace the jug and piston on a tired motor I would opt for new gaskets.

Probably long gone, that post was in 2008. You could buy an AHL 299 kit for the KLX250, it's a bolt on with one exception, the spring plug for the cylinder needs about 4mm cut off, otherwise it doesn't thread in completely to seal. The AHL kit can be bought usually on Amazon, maybe on ebay. DO NOT BUY A 292 KIT, IT WILL NOT WORK. ONLY THE 299 KIT FITS.

for Amazon

I'm wondering if that's a scammer trying to get someone to provide phone numbers...
