i was reading some topoics at advriders.com and this guy was saying that a klx300 cam is the same as the one on a KLX250S from '06. does this imply that the '07 has a limited amount of mods vs the '06, as in they(kawasaki) has changed things up and therfore destroying the compadbility?

One of the things you will learn in your life is that there are many folks who will tell you this, that and the other and none of it is fit for human consumption, nor does it contain any truth. It is simply their opinion, or what they heard one of their friends express and by saying it, they feel as they are more knowledgeable.

If you go to www.kawasaki.com and find the parts diagrams, you will see that aside from some exterior trim pieces, the 06 and 07 KLX250S are identical twins.

There are no differences between them that I am aware of, other than the aforementioned exterior trim.
