Default ***09 first spring ride report***

Well since the sun was out I just had to take advantage of it and told the wife I was out of here. It was right at 50 degrees and so it was perfect out.

Headed out of town about 10 miles and off the highway out in some areas I hunted this last year.

Found this moss covered road, and the Kenda didn't like it. I can't wait till I get the 606 again.

Found these bundles of Salal plants, someone must have forgot to load them up. This is a huge Hispanic industry out in our area.

This is an interesting picture, when I was a kid, you could still drive over this bridge and there was a motel on the other side. It's nice to see I outlived something.

You know I live in a pretty unique place, we got 5 major rivers, the ocean, mountains, great timber covered areas, man I love this place.

Good job Deej, thanks for sharing. Over here we're not quit to what I consider acceptable riding weather. There's still too much water and mud out in the woods and the temps don't hardly get above the mid 40's. I just got back from a week out in Arizona on a rented ElectraGlide so the wait to get back on the KLX isn't so bad now.

Nice riding there, I wish I knew of trails in my area like that. I guess I'll have to do some more hunting to find them. Hey, where did you get that handlebar mounted clock?

Deej, it sure looks like a GREAT place to ride. Just wow. I can hardly wait to get my KLX back together again and hit the trails.
Thanks for the pictures

I plan on getting out for the first time today...just waiting for the temps to come up a wee bit more than I am gone (it's currently minus 2 Celsius (about 40 F) but expected to go to plus 6 by the afternoon)....but I doubt if it will be on any backroads as there is still snow in places in the open, so in the trails would be a lot worse. But it sure is shaping up for a good first ride, even if it is pavement only today. I am inspired....thanks Deej!
